Based on a patented technology, the 3PI (Pulsed Power by Physique & industrie) solid-state generators deliver powerful square wave pulses with submicrosecond switching and internal fault protection.

Every system offers full control of the voltage, pulse duration, frequency and current limit, and can be connected to a computer to meet the most demanding industrial and research applications.

P&I's know-how in high frequency transformers permits as yet unheard-of dynamic performances and a permanent control of the current protects the switches against short circuits in the load. The whole generator is located in a cylindrical chamber, driven by an external control board or a computer and directly connected to the main supply.

Maintenance free and user-friendly, the 3PI models combine efficiency and compactness.

Specially designed for Plasma Immersion Ion Implantation (PIII), the 3PI generators can be used to supply Plasma Lasers, as well as for generating Pulsed Electric Field for Food sterilization.

The 3PI patented technology uses a voltage transformer in which the power circuit consists in a parallel association of many high power solid state switches (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors) and primary coils, the assembly being supplied at a relatively low DC voltage by capacitors (from 500V to 1.2kV).

The number of secondary turns provides the voltage gain and the current is delivered by the large amount of driving circuits



The 3PI technology includes as standard features :


    Pulse duration from 1ms to 100ms (longer times on request)
    Pulse frequency up to 1kHz
    Rise and fall times <1ms at full power on a resistive load
    Control box with digital display of pulse characteristics and total run time
    PC control on option (Windows95,98,NT)
    Internal microprocessor controlled power and driving circuit
    Internal diode protection against reverse polarity
    Compensated voltage and current outputs
    Self safety discharge in case of main power failure
    Water cooling
    Low electromagnetic noise emission
